What does wellness mean to you? Many of us are moving towards embracing health and wellness, and I urge you to pause and ask yourself: what does a life inspired by wellness look like?
For many years, I had a very narrow outlook on wellness, thinking it was just about food and exercise. I would follow fad diets and popular workout plans with no real direction or goal in mind. While the salads and HIIT workouts made me feel good momentarily, other aspects of my life lacked harmony, and ultimately, I found myself back at square one: stressed and overwhelmed.
Once I started reflecting on what wellness truly means to me, that’s when I realized that it’s all-encompassing. Wellness is not just about diet or exercise. It’s about your lifestyle as a whole. It’s impossible to live a happy, healthy life without considering other important aspects such as your career, relationships, and sense of purpose. All these vital pillars of happiness play a major role in your overall well-being.
This realization has been a complete game-changer for me. Beyond just food and exercise, I’ve started paying closer attention to everything that matters in my life, making a conscious effort to be more intentional with my time and energy.
When I first heard about the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and their holistic approach to wellness, I knew it was the right step for me. I’m always eager to learn more about wellness and help others walk (or jog) toward harmony, so I’m thrilled to be joining IIN’s Health Coach Training Program. Classes start on March 20th, and I can’t wait!
This program teaches the concept of integrative nutrition. Beyond providing comprehensive knowledge on food and nutrition, it also focuses on nourishing other areas of your life to create true health and happiness.
